A Panel Discussion

Description

Events in the Gaza Strip and Israel are the bloodiest we’ve seen in decades. The UN has declared it to be a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions. What are the causes of this crisis? How are we to make sense of (or understand) the seemingly unexplainable violence and the inability of the international community to find a peace? What are the implications for Palestinians, Israelis, the broader region and the global community? Trent students, staff, and faculty invited to attend.

Panel

Dr. Anne Meneley, Department of Anthropology

Dr. Feyzi Baban, Department of International Development Studies

Gabi Kirk, PhD Candidate, Department of Geography, UC Davis

Dr. Liam Mitchell, Cultural Studies Department

Chair: Dr. Colleen O’Manique, Department of International Development Studies

Date: Tuesday 07 November from 2pm-3:30pm

Location: CCN M2
