Much like that thing in the middle of a hurricane, reading break offers respite from what has perhaps felt a buffeting year. TUFA would like to extend that respite a little longer by sharing some opportunities for members to enjoy the company of colleagues. After almost three-years, the pandemic has disrupted our ways of being together. For those who feel ready, it is time to reconnect.
- Durham Social. February 28th (2:00 to 3:30 pm)
Whether you’re Durham-based, Durham-adjacent, or simply Durham-curious, you are invited to join us in Room A125 on the Trent University-Durham campus this coming Tuesday for appetizers, sweets, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. If you’ve not already done so, please let us know if you plan to attend.
- Peterborough Social. March 2nd (5:00 to 7:00 pm)
All members are invited to the Ceilie Pub in Champlain College for a catered Happy Hour with a host bar. Please RSVP if you’re able to join us.
- Peterborough Performs III benefit concert. March 2nd (7:00 to 11:00 pm)
Some of us will be using our social at the Ceilie to warm-up for the Peterborough Performs III Benefit Concert at Showplace Theatre. In addition to raising funds to address homelessness, Peterborough Performs brings together many of the community’s most talented musicians in support of United Way. At $50/ticket (about $3.33/act) this is terrific value and a great way to support the broader community.
