All-Candidates Town Hall – May 19th (7:00 pm start)

Dear TUFA Members,

I am very pleased to invite you to a virtual town hall meeting on Thursday, May 19, 7-8:30 pm, with candidates from the riding of Peterborough – Kawartha whose parties have elected members to Queen’s Park. Jen Deck (NDP), Greg Dempsey (Liberal), and Robert Gibson (Green) will participate. Dave Smith (Conservative) has another obligation that evening, but we are hopeful that he will attend if his schedule changes.

Emergency Physician Dr. Tom Miller from the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (and Trent alumnus ’82) and I are co-chairing the event. We will ask the candidates a series of questions on the theme of health care and higher education. There will be opportunity for attendees to submit questions to be put to the candidates during the event.

An invitation to the event, will be circulated to the members of the Professional Staff Association at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, as well as to the other unions at PRHC and to the membership of our sister unions at Trent (CUPE 3908 and OPSEU 365).
