There are several matters of possible interest as we approach the end of the week:
1. Trent’s United Way campaign
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this year’s campaign. TUFA’s $5,000 matching grant – combined with some new Leadership donations – have put us within $4,700 of our $150,000 target! The campaign ends on Monday and so, if you’ve been waiting for just the right moment to make a tax-deductible contribution to support the Community, it’s here!
2. PDLC Tampon Tuesday campaign
The Peterborough and District Labour Council has teamed up with the United Way to provide menstrual products to women in need. Donations (money or menstrual products) can be made at the United Way Peterborough office at 277 Stewart Street this Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm or on Tuesday March 2nd from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Click here for more information.
3. International Women’s Day 2021
TUFA is pleased to be a co-sponsor of this year’s virtual IWD activities which will begin at 6:30pm on Monday March 8th. For more information or to register, please visit Peterborough IWD 2021 #Choose to Challenge.
4. CAUT Bulletin
The February issue of the CAUT Bulletin focuses on disability and the duty to accommodate.
5. GMM – Hold the Date
TUFA’s Spring General Membership Meeting has been scheduled for March 24th at 9:00 am, please hold the date. The formal meeting call and Agenda will be sent out two weeks before the meeting.
