Changes to the academic structure of Trent University required an agreement between the Union and Employer as to the proper articulation of the ratified collective agreement after September 1, 2010. The language in the following Appendix replaces the corresponding language in the Collective Agreement. To facilitate use of the Appendix, two additional documents are provided below: "LoU - Changing Academic Structures" provides the rationale underlying the new Appendix while the "Guide to the 2011 Appendix" lists all those contract articles affected by the change.

Changes to the salary scale are determined according to an annual parity calculation and take effect at one minute before midnight on June 30th. For the past two years, the parity adjustment has been 0% and so the salary scale for July 2011 will be the same as for the previous year. A copy of the current salary scale is linked below.
Subsequent to the ratification of the Collective Agreement, TUFA and the University's Administration have agreed to other Letters (LoU), Memoranda (MoA, MoU), or Minutes of Settlement (MoS) that modify, or aid in the interpretation of, specific sections of the Collective Agreement, or the terms and conditions of our members' employment at Trent. Such documents now constitute a part of our overarching agreement with the employer and are linked below. To protect our members' privacy, settlement agreements for individual-specific grievances will not be posted to this website.
